Check Us Out on YouTube

Did you know that we have a great YouTube channel? On it we have many instructional videos regarding using the library, downloading e-books and more! We also have more than 20 "Cook the Book" episodes in which we review a fiction book and then use that book as an inspiration for a recipe. There's also a Centerburg History section featuring an amazing train presentation. So, the next time you are on YouTube, take a look!

Make-It-Mondays

Each Monday from November 27 to December 18, stop in to make a craft that would be a great holiday gift! There will be a different craft every Monday and all ages are invited to attend.  Younger children may need some grown-up assistance with several of the projects.  We ask that you make your craft here and do not take supplies home.  Participants may make one craft per person each Monday unless otherwise stated that day.  Event takes place during normal business hours and supplies are limited.

Polar Express and Santa Event

Join us on Sunday, December 3rd at 2:00 pm for the return of our hugely popular Polar Express Event. Entire families are invited to come to the Village Meeting Room (upstairs from the library) to watch the Polar Express movie, have a movie-themed snack and then visit with Santa! We will also have several characters from the movie with us including the Hobo and Conductor. The entire event takes about 2 hours, so please take this in to consideration if there are small children in your family that may struggle with a lengthy event.

Holiday Recipe Books Available Soon

The finishing touches are being put on our Holiday Recipe Books! Members of the community and staff members generously shared their recipes for inclusion in this year's book. Our focus this year is on "recipes from the past" and we encouraged people to submit recipes that hold a special place in their heart. We have received many recipes that were passed down from older family members and others that have recently become a yummy tradition around the dinner table. These books will be available for free (in limited number) beginning December 4th.
