Holiday Recipe Book

Be sure to stop by to pick up your free 2024 Holiday Recipe Book. The book contains recipes submitted by library staff, patrons and community members. It also includes all of the "Cook the Book" recipes from 2024 that were featured on our YouTube channel. Making a yearly Holiday Recipe Book has been a long tradition here at the library and we are very proud to be able to offer it again this year. Books are limited to 2 per family and extra copies may be requested to be sent via e-mail.

Polar Express Event

Join us on Sunday, December 15th at 2:00 pm for the return of our hugely popular Polar Express Event. Entire families are invited to come to the Village Meeting Room (upstairs from the library) to watch the Polar Express movie, have a movie-themed snack and then visit with Santa! We will also have several characters from the movie with us including the Conductor. The entire event takes about 2 hours, so please take this into consideration if there are small children in your family that may struggle with a lengthy event.

Read to a Therapy Dog

Spend a few minutes reading to Cali and her owner, Karma. They will be visiting us the first Saturday of each month from 11:00 am - noon. The recommended age for this program is 5 years & older, as the goal is to increase reading skills & comfort with reading aloud. For this program, there is a requirement for preregistration and each reading "slot" is 10 minutes. Registration for the upcoming month will begin on the 15th of the previous month. If this falls on a Sunday or holiday, registration begins on the next business day. Call or stop by the library to register.

Holiday Card Making

Did you know that December 9th is Christmas Card Day? Get in the spirit by stopping by anytime from Monday, December 9th through Wednesday, December 11th to make up to 5 holiday cards. We will have all the supplies you need: blank cards and envelopes, ink stamps, markers, gems and all other crafty supplies. This is a free event and we hope that all ages will stop in for the card-making fun.
