Do you know that we have several people on staff who are passionate about book journaling? Come see their journals and get fun ideas for your own! Join us from 5-7 pm to work on your journal. Feel free to bring your own journal or we will give you one. We will have all the supplies that you need including pens, stickers, colored paper and more.  Wanting to include color photos of your books? Print out a few for free during our time together.  We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Farmer's Market Activity

We were invited by the local Farmer's Market to offer an activity today from 5-7 pm.  This activity will take place in our meeting room here at the library. As you know, the Farmer's Market is just across from the gazebo, so take the short walk over to the library to complete your activity! We will be decorating white terra cotta pots and then you will receive a small plant to put inside.  It is a free and fun activity that all ages may participate in.  So, when visiting opening day of the Farmer's Market, be sure to stop over to see us!

Are you someone with a love for used books? Are you currently a patron of our library? If so, Stop by for a special sneak peek shopping night at our Book Sale! Just stop at our front desk and show us your library card or have us look you up in our system and then you are ready to shop! Don't have a card but wanting to get your hands on some good used items? Just sign up for a card at our front desk! It's easy with just a valid state ID or driver's license. All items are available for a donation. Hope to see you at this fun sneak peek event!

Magic Nate

We are beyond excited to have Magic Nate back in Centerburg! He performed several years ago during Summer Reading and was a massive hit.  His unique style of magic is a combination of classic and street styles and is a perfect fit for all ages. You may have seen him elsewhere as he is a very busy professional entertainer and travels extensively to perform his magic.  This show will last approximately 30 minutes and is appropriate for all ages. The show will be held upstairs from the library in the Village Council Chambers.

Have you heard about Silent Reading Parties? Many of these have sprung up around the country, and we have had patrons requesting that we try one out here.  These events allow you to read in public alone, but together.  It has been described as "It's a silent party where everyone reads!"  Everyone 18 and older is invited.  So, bring a book to read or choose one from here and plan on joining us.  There will be yummy snacks and mocktails, too.  Grab your book, snacks and find a cozy place to read in our library.
